2012 WFDF World Junior Championships LogoOver 1200 of the best junior Ultimate players from around the world are descending on Dublin, Ireland this weekend and Vinqui are looking forward to joining them.

The WFDF World Junior Championships is taking place on Dublin City University’s sports grounds from the 12th to 18th August. Vinqui will have a retail stand at the event on the opening two days of competition (13th and 14th August). This is going to be a truly great event and we really look forward to meeting the players and organisers involved.

Guangzhou Ultimate TeamWith more than 2 foreign players on the team, the VQ sponsored Guangzhou team participated in the friendship event at the 2011 China Ultimate National Championships. The team had a brilliant time and won 4 out of 7 matches, which is pretty impressive!

Ultimate Layout PendantHere at VQ, we’re very close to adding a new sports collection, Ultimate.

Ultimate is a non-contact sport played with a ‘flying disc’ (that other commonly used word is a trademark). In Ultimate, the aim of the game is to score points by passing the disc to a player in the opposing end zone, similar to American Football. Players are not allowed to run with the disc and can only move one foot whilst holding the disc (called ‘pivoting’).
